Ian started the Sticky Pickle Company back in 2015 in Ingatestone. He then moved in 2018 to Braintree & has been based here ever since.
Four Guild of Fine Foods, Great Taste awards later & things are going great.
Still sticking to the original concept of creating wonderful Pickles & Chutneys that contain no artificial colours or preservatives, there is now a wave of fans throughout Essex & the rest of the UK.
You'll catch Ian at the monthly Braintree Street Market or other events & markets throughout Essex as well as online & in some wonderful Farm

The Mighty Oak Brewery have been brewing award winning ales since 1996. Originally brewing for 4 years in Hutton then the big move to Maldon in 2001 which has enabled a steady growth into a medium sized Micro Brewery. Quality all the way is the motto – they brew using only top grade ingredients; Hop flowers & floor malted barley to bring the best flavours to your pint.

The family have been farming in Suffolk for over 50 years. In 2004 the high quality rapeseed crop was pressed for a premium extra virgin oil for cooking & dressing & became the first British farmers to grow, press & bottle their own rapeseed oil.
Today, they use only the very best seed varieties selected for their superior taste, golden colour & high nutritional value, which is protected by the distinctive dark bottle.
Part of the Mersea Vineyard group of companies which are all family run & have been since the vineyard was purchased in 1997. Mersea Island Brewery was established in 2004 & has been producing 5 core beers in both cask & bottle conditioned.
Laura and Robert from Fairfields Farm in Colchester is where it all happens, from growing potatoes to making the handcooked crisps, which they’ve been doing there since 2006. Not many farms can say they have a crisp factory on site! Growing potatoes is something the families have been perfecting for three generations. Despite this long history, they’re not afraid to try new things – particularly if by changing their methods they reduce their impact on the environment around us. In fact, they’re setting their sights firmly on being the UK’s first
carbon neutral crisp producer.
The first ‘Tiptree’ conserves were made in 1885 on the Tiptree estate in Essex & are still made there to this day. They can be found in over seventy countries, on cruise lines, in five star hotels & on top airlines. What hamper is complete without Tiptree products!
Based in Leigh-on-Sea & launched in 2019, Tapp’d cocktails are the only handcrafted ready to drink cocktails, bottled using organic, vegan & gluten-free ingredients.
TEMPRD - a family team making properly chunky chocolate by hand in Maldon, Essex. They couldn’t find the chocolate they wanted to eat or gift – chunky, luxury & a real mix of flavours. They believe that chocolate should be a proper treat - rich slabs of chocolatey goodness. So, having already quit the rat race to work together, they decided to make it! Their ethical stance is No Bull – our cocoa is sustainably sourced & they are approved by the Rainforest Alliance, there's no single use plastic in their processes or packaging & they’re working towards being plastic free.
Primo was born on Christmas Eve 2015. A conversation around the kitchen table turned to business & before they knew it they were diving in to the world of coffee. It was an alignment of talents; Peter with his impeccable taste, Robert with his commercial background & James (Peter’s twin by-the-way) with his wealth of experience in the coffee industry.
Primo was created early 2016 & were offered an old cattle shed on a farm near Manningtree as a base. It was a wreck & they spent the following weeks & months cleaning, mending & rebuilding. With the cobwebs & dust behind them, the roastery was born & they set about roasting & supplying the best possible coffee & the finest loose leaf tea.
The Suffolk Chocolatiers! Marimba World Chocolate is a family-owned business devoted to hand-making amazing chocolate using single-origin cocoas.
Peter Watts Wines started back in 1979 in Peter's study at his home in the village of Feering, where he meticulously selected a few smaller French vineyards to import from, sourcing the best quality, & offering exclusive wines to the UK.
Over 40 years later, Peter still works with this ethos & has forged relationships with 50 (& counting!) producers from all over the globe & many of them still work with them to this day. Peter along with his wife Lyn & his two sons Jack & Tom all take active parts in the business. Along with a small but capable team they believe they offer the best service around.
Berries are grown, pressed & bottled at Barn Farm overlooking the River Stour. DC Williamson Ltd are third generation family farmers who started by growing apples before moving into strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blackcurrants, gooseberries & rhubarb. Barn Farm Drinks were formed in 2017.
In 2013 Greg was living with his dear Nan; Beryl in Essex. They started making & selling popcorn in small batches from Nan’s kitchen, turning their favourite retro sweets into popcorn flavours! The popcorn is vegan & Gluten Free!
Market Fresh are always looking for products that inspire the taste buds of the consumer. Based in Braintree, they source products from across the UK & Europe from small family run businesses, to deliver authentic & exceptional flavours.
One of their core values is to supply a healthier living style by offering products that are organic, gluten free & vegan. They are also expanding their horizons by looking into the ever-growing plant-based market.

Nelion Ridley took up the mantle & in 2011 established Bishop Nick in Ridley heartland - Felsted, Essex. He then expanded & moved the brewery to Braintree in 2013. With a rich heritage of traditional brewing Nelion holds sacred many of the Ridley traditions: using local ingredients to produce a range of high quality & distinctive real ales for today’s discerning drinker. Bishop Nick has scooped numerous leading industry awards including the highly coveted Campion Beer of Britain (SILVER overall) for their leading brand Ridley's Rite in 2017. Head Brewer Alexander Ratter joined the team in 2018.

Established in 2012, Mrs Button’s Chocolates is owned by Amanda Button. She makes her chocolates in her home kitchen in Kelvedon, Essex. Amanda takes bespoke orders – just ask, if she can she will. Chocolates for celebrations, seasonal and for businesses to say thank you, Amanda covers everything.
